At the Barrie Curling Club, our community is at the heart of everything we do. While our ice surface turns to pickle ball from May to September, we want to ensure our members have additional options to remain physically active, socially connected, and engaged year-round.
We are considering establishing a brand-new "Summer Senior Wellness Hub" right here in our facility for the 2027 season, and would love to get your feedback. To make this program as accessible as possible, we are actively preparing an application grant benefitting seniors. If successful, this funding will allow us to offer an array of fitness classes, arts and crafts programs, social games, and educational guest speakers completely free of charge to our members. If the grant is not successful, we may look to a fee structure per class attended, or a summer membership program. The funding may also cover related building improvements such as main floor lobby air conditioning.
To build a winning grant application and design a summer schedule that works perfectly for you, we need your input! Please take 5 minutes to complete this short survey. Your feedback provides the vital data and community proof required to secure these federal funds.
Your privacy is important to us. All demographic and scheduling information collected in this survey is strictly confidential and will be used by the Board of Directors in determining future programming. It will be securely stored by the Barrie Curling Club administration. Individual names and contact information are completely optional and will only be used to contact potential volunteers or class leaders. Aggregated, anonymous data (such as total numbers and age ranges) will be shared for the purposes of supporting our grant application.
Would you be more likely to attend these summer classes if you could bring a friend, neighbour, or spouse who is not currently a club member?
