Ghouls just wanna have fun!
Friday Night Social is getting a Halloween takeover on October 30. Join us for an evening of curling, costumes, spooky tunes and witches’ brews and boos, with prizes up for grabs in our costume contest.
Whether you’re curling that night or simply stopping by for the party, members and friends of members are welcome. Admission is free, and costumes are encouraged but not required.
Adult drop-in curling for BCC members and non-members, starting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday night drop-in curling is 100% social and non-competitive.
Curlers who are not members of the Barrie Curling Club are welcome to register for drop-in curling. Drop-in curling does not include instruction - please don't register for drop-in curling if you do not have previous curling experience.
CSA-approved helmets are strongly recommended for adults. Cycling, skiing, or hockey helmets are suitable.
The drop-in curling fee is $20 per person for non-members and members with "once per week" memberships. There is no charge for BCC members with "unlimited" memberships. BCC members with unlimited memberships must log in before registering (otherwise, full fee charged).
Fees are not refundable.
Drop-in curling registration ends on the Saturday of curling at 4:00 p.m.
Practice ice reserve bookings are available approximately 7 days before the date of the practice time. A $2.00 fee applies to reserve practice ice. The $2.00 fee covers all curlers on the practice sheet. The $2.00 fee will be donated to the Barrie Food Bank/ Special Olympics. If you are not able to use the ice, the fee cannot be refunded. Practice starts when the ice crew indicates that the sheet is ready (green tag). Practice ends when the last league game on adjacent sheets ends. During practice you are responsible for ensuring that play on adjacent sheets is not disrupted. At least one practice partner is recommended to "catch" your practice rocks.
If you are not going to use the practice ice that you have booked, please contact Renee (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). Repeated "no shows" for reserved practice ice may cause you to lose the ability to reserve practice ice.

Our club consists of a group of people who love to curl - some more competitively and some more recreationally; and we have leagues and programs to match what our curlers want. Many of us consider fellow members to be great friends and have shared some of the best times of our lives at leagues, bonspiels and the lounge of the Barrie Curling Club.
